I almost called it "The Universal Hymn." I wrote this for my sister as a Christmas present (in December 2017), and it's more of a Solstice parallel observance because I knew she would like it better.
It's the same present, only with different wrapping.
They had a tree in the old days. They had a feast at the same time of year, and exchange of gifts. And it was a time of bringing in the light. Which just goes to show you . . . I don't know what, but it does.
Well, we are more alike than we let on most of the time.
We come again to the ancient season,
bring in the light . . .
